Old halogen downlights are running hot and pushing up your power bill, a light fitting has stopped working, or you're renovating and need lighting planned properly instead of downlights dropped in a grid. Halogen-to-LED swaps are one of the quickest ways to cut running costs, and outdated or damaged fittings are a common fire and safety risk.

Is it worth replacing halogen downlights with LED?
For most households, yes. LEDs use a fraction of the power, run much cooler, and last years longer. Old halogens are also a known cause of ceiling insulation fires where clearance wasn't done properly, so a swap often fixes a safety issue as well as a cost one.
Can you match my existing light fittings or do I need to choose new ones?
Both work. We can supply standard LED fittings, or you can buy your own and we'll install them — just check the wattage and dimmer compatibility with us first if you're supplying.
Why does my dimmer flicker after an LED upgrade?
Old dimmers are usually built for halogen loads and don't play well with LEDs. It's a common issue and an easy fix — we swap in an LED-compatible dimmer while we're there.
Do I need to be home for a downlight swap?
It helps for access and to confirm which lights you want changed, but for straightforward daytime jobs we can often work with a key arrangement if that suits you better.
Is outdoor lighting different to indoor?
Yes, outdoor fittings need to be weather-rated, and anything near the coast benefits from marine-grade fittings to handle salt air. We'll spec the right rating for the location.
Do you provide a warranty on the lights and the work?
Yes, workmanship is guaranteed and LED fittings carry manufacturer warranty, typically several years depending on the brand.
